It is widely acknowledged that knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah fosters piety, which helps individuals refrain from all kinds of mischievous activities. Unfortunately, the rate of crime is increasing at a faster pace than the rate of education. There is no doubt that an educational system devoid of the Quran and Sunnah may expose us to modern culture, but it cannot instill true morality.

Our children's education should begin with the Quran. The Sahabah (RA), the Tabi‘un, and their followers, the Salaf al-Saliheen, all memorized the Quran or endeavored to do so at the start of their educational journeys. The great Imams of the Muslim Ummah first committed the Quran to memory before pursuing other religious knowledge. Those of us who wish to cultivate a strong faith in our children should follow the path of the Salaf. We will first encourage our children to memorize the Quran, and then we will guide them to become scholars in the light of our religion, insha'Allah. The aim of establishing Zaitoon Academy is to connect students with the Quran and nurture them into excellent Islamic scholars. The scholars we aspire to create will not only excel in Quranic studies and Arabic but will also be well-equipped with modern knowledge, including English and computer skills.

Our curriculum is designed to enable students to achieve the status of Hafiz of the Quran up to the highest level of Aliya Madrasa. Should they choose to transition into the national or general stream, they will be well-prepared to succeed and further their careers, insha'Allah.

About Zaitoon Academy:
Zaitoon Academy was conceived, founded, and promoted by Dr. Muhammad Aminul Hoque, Associate Professor and Former Chairman of the Department of Da’wah & Islamic Studies at the International Islamic University Chittagong.
Zaitoon Academy commenced operations in a hired building at Jalalabad Housing Society in West Khulshi, Chattogram Metropolitan, on March 1, 2023.
The historic announcement of the establishment of Zaitoon Academy was made on March 4, 2023, from the Holy Kaaba at 6:30 PM (Makkah Time) before Maghrib prayer. The Chairman of Zaitoon Academy, Dr. Muhammad Aminul Hoque, made this announcement while on Umrah pilgrimage in the holy city of Makkah.
